Role: Estimation Engineer

‍
Job Purpose
To prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for fabrication projects involving pressure vessels,
heat exchangers, tanks, and pipe spools in accordance with client specifications, applicable codes (ASME,
API, etc.), and company standards. The role ensures timely preparation of techno-commercial proposals
to support the company’s business development and project acquisition goals.

Job Description‍

‍Educational Background

a) Mechanical Engineering Degree/ Diploma

Experience and Technical Knowledge

a) Experience in Machining/Manufacturing: Typically 2-5 years of experience

b) Understanding of Machining and welding Processes such as, CNC milling, turning, drilling, grinding), materials tooling, and machine capabilities.

c) Ability to read and understanding of production drawings

Cost Estimation Skills

a) Cost Analysis: Ability to analyze material, labor, machine time, overhead, and tooling costs accurately.

b) Quoting and Pricing: Experience in preparing detailed estimates, quotes, and pricing strategies for machined components.

c) Knowledge of Industry Standards such as API, ASME,

Analytical and Mathematical Skills

a) Mathematical Proficiency: Ability to calculate dimensions tolerances, machining speeds, and feeds.

b) Analytical Thinking: Skill in breaking down complex parts and estimating production time and resources.

Technical Drawing Interpretation

Drawing and specification Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Communication and Interpersonal Skills‍

a) Customer Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

b) Team Collaboration: Experience working closely with engineers, machinists, and production managers.

Computer Skills

A) Well versed with Excell, Word, MS project, Power point
