FTV Proclad International Limited are an internationally renowned precision engineering solutions provider delivering contracts for the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Aerospace and Defence sectors. We are delighted to be recruiting for a Project Manager. 

The role would suit a self-motivated, confident, solutions focused, target driven and resilient individual who is looking for an exciting new challenge in their career.

Ideally you will possess a minimum of three years relevant project management experience in a Ministry of Defence industry or Oil & Gas sector, but consideration will be given to candidates who have alternative industry experience but good project management disciplines and willing to learn quickly.

Outline of Role

As Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of Projects from execution through to delivery, acting as the main client interface through the project life cycle.  Client contracts typically involve multiple stakeholder management therefore excellent communication and presentation skills are a prerequisite requirement.

Focus will be on working with internal operations to achieve on time delivery of a quality product within budget and delivering customer satisfaction through the facilitation of cross functional teamwork and applied continuous improvement activities.

Remuneration and Benefits

A market competitive wage will be offered depending on experience.  The benefits of employment include to 33 days holiday per year on a pro-rata basis (including public holidays), an employer pension contribution of 5% of salary, discounted membership of public gyms within the Fife area, private medical insurance and Life Assurance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Project Manager role is to lead and manage the opportunities and risks from contract engagement to completion and be accountable for all aspects of the delivery.

The role is responsible for ensuring all activities are planned and executed in line with customer requirements whilst working with the cross functional teams.

Responsibilities will include the below, this is not an exhaustive list:

·         The delivery of Projects to the agreed timescales, quality requirements and in line with the financial profit estimates.

·         Timely project execution, ensuring pre-production deliverables are supplied via cross functional teams.

·         Work closely with the planning team to build delivery programmes and monitor progress with the client.

·         Work with procurement to ensure sub suppliers are managed to achieve delivery and quality timescales.

·         Validation of Engineering Masters and preparation of Job Instructions for manufacturing.

·         Preparation of regular progress reports for the client.

·         Managing scope change through contracts variations.

·         Supporting internal Project Status Reviews (PSR), reporting project performance (to date \ forecast to completion) to estimate and maintaining risk and opportunity registers.

·         Acting as the prime client contact managing the interface and responses on all client communication including technical queries, whilst driving customer satisfaction improvements.

·         Working closely with business partners to ensure full support is given to the project to deliver a successful client project.

Desired Experience and Personal Qualities

·         Minimum 3 years’ experience in Projects Management (preferably MOD or Oil & Gas sector).

·         Experience within a customer focused organisation delivering continuous improvement and customer satisfaction

·         Analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills.

·         Self-motivated and innovative.

·         Excellent organisational and planning skills.

·         Target driven and able to meet personal commitments.

·         Team worker.

Education and Training

·         Qualification in Project Management preferred but not essential

·         Educated to degree level with engineering or relevant experience is desirable but not essential

·         Skilled user of MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

·         Experience in project planning tools
