Demonstrating its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community wellbeing, a group of Proclad employees participated in a voluntary blood donation drive at the Dubai Blood Donation Centre this week.

Organised in collaboration with Dubai Health Authority (DHA), the initiative aimed to support the region’s healthcare system by ensuring a steady supply of safe blood for patients in need — including those undergoing surgery, cancer treatments, and emergency care.

Staff from across Proclad’s engineering, operations, and administrative teams took time out of their day to contribute to the life-saving effort. For many, it was their first time donating, and the spirit of teamwork and solidarity was clear throughout the event.

“Our people are the heart of our business, and this initiative was a reminder that we’re also part of something much bigger — a community that thrives when we care for one another,” said a spokesperson for Proclad. “We’re proud of the team for stepping forward and showing that even small acts can have a lasting impact.”

The Dubai Blood Donation Centre, operated by the DHA, provides vital support to hospitals across the UAE and welcomes regular donations from individuals and corporate groups. Each unit of blood donated can help save up to three lives.

Proclad plans to make blood donation a recurring initiative in its calendar of health, safety, and community outreach activities, reinforcing its values of responsibility, care, and contribution to the nation’s wellbeing.
