Eni - AGOGO FULL FIELD PROJECT

The Agogo Oil Field is a major offshore development located in Block 15/06, around 180 kilometers off Angola’s coast. Operated by Eni Angola (now part of the Azule Energy joint venture with BP), the project represents one of the country’s most significant recent deepwater discoveries.

Key Highlights:

• Discovery and Fast-Track Development:
  Discovered in early 2019, the Agogo-1 well revealed a 203-meter oil column with 120 meters of net pay. Impressively, production began within just nine months in January 2020—demonstrating a rapid development timeline.
• Initial and Planned Production:
  Initial output began at around 10,000 barrels per day and was expected to double shortly after. The field holds an estimated 650 million barrels of oil in place.
• Expansion and Infrastructure:
  The Agogo field is part of the West Hub development, with early production routed through the existing N’Goma FPSO. A larger integrated development is underway, involving a new FPSO capable of processing up to 120,000 barrels per day, with operations expected to start by mid-2026.
