The Bonga North Project, operated by SNEPCO (Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company) and delivered in partnership with Saipem, represents a key extension of the existing Bonga FPSO development offshore Nigeria. Focused on increasing oil production and extending field life, the project involves complex subsea tiebacks and topside modifications under high-load, fatigue-critical conditions.
Proclad was selected to support the project with the manufacture and supply of corrosion-resistant alloy (CRA) cladded piping systems specifically designed for fatigue-sensitive offshore environments. Our scope included engineering, weld overlay cladding, CNC machining, fittings, and flanges to meet the strict fatigue performance criteria required in deepwater applications.
Delivered through our fully integrated manufacturing facilities, Proclad’s solution ensured high material integrity, dimensional precision, and weld quality — critical for maintaining long-term reliability in cyclic loading conditions.
Our contribution supports the safe and efficient development of one of West Africa’s most technically demanding offshore oil projects.
